Introduction

Many aeons ago Télos became locked with one face forever facing Qa, the sun. It's sunward side is a scorched desert, it's starward side an icy waste. In between, from where the sun hangs just above the horizon to where it hides just below the horizon, the world is circled with a habitable belt, a region of giant mountains, of winding, treacherously deep lakes, of reeking jungles, and of dismal-shadowed forests.
