As is mentioned under the introduction to Girios, most of the islands are as large as entire worlds, and all are different. Many of them are inhabited by intelligent races, though there are a few exceptions. Most remarkable of these is an unnamed island which not only has no intelligent races, but has no animals of any description larger than insects, and is almost entirely given over to vegetation.
