mi lernas esperanton

I first attempted to learn Esperanto many years ago, but didn't stick with it for long -- there were too many other claims on my time, and Esperanto just fell by the wayside. I still kept my Teach Yourself Esperanto and Esperanto dictionary, though, and they have been standing on my bookcase every since.

Towards the end of 2005, sparked mainly by a posting on a message board, I decided to have another, more serious attempt. I worked through the first five chapters of the Teach Yourself book (being reasonably language-literate I could pick up most of the basic concepts quite quickly), and am now consolidating what I have learnt, before carrying on.

I also signed up with an on-line course which I completed and did reasonably well with, but fluency is still some way off!
